Rodenstock introduces its extended Sun range

Rodenstock will reveal three new eyewear collections focused on ‘engineered purism’ at next week’s TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes (Rivera Village RE17) . The company will also feature new lines from its key Porsche Design brand.

Rodenstock introduces its Ultimate Lightness concept in the Lite-Tec range. The modern and minimalistic frames are based on the principle that a good design is “reduced to the essential elements and completed with technical innovation”.

The titanium frames weigh 4.75g, with a coloured Nylor thread, which can be customised through a choice of eight colours. The R7131, R7132 and R7133 models are unisex.

The Retro Classic line includes new frames made of Italian semi-transparent acetate and titanium with two sunglasses (R3333 and R3334) featuring colour gradient lenses while Essentials styles focus on fine details. The Elegance Classic range has frames made from allergy-free stainless steel and colourful highlights on the upper edge.

Rodenstock has extended its Sun range with eight new products which combine acetate and stainless steel with trendy colours. Eyecatchers of this collection are the R3338 and R3339 frames in ‘oversized’ shape in pastel shades.

As a lens expert, Rodenstock focuses on top quality and innovative technology in its sunglasses, which offer UV400 protection and feature a special coating to reduce reflections and glares for better vision. Depending on the model and colour style, some sunglasses in the collection have Rodenstock Sun Contrast lenses, which enable optimal contrast perception. They also absorb blue light particles better than traditional sun lenses, thus ensuring less glare and more contrasts.

All the new styles are available now through selected retailers.

From Porsche Design, the Spring Hinge Series combines technical sophistication with design elements to make functionality visible.

The series features a spring hinge without casing in P’8391 and P’8392 optical frames and the P’8942 sunglasses. Frames and temples are made from Japanese titanium.

To mark its 50th anniversary, Porsche Design presents the sunglasses in an exclusive Black Platinum Grey, which is limited to 1,972 pieces. The range also features four other styles.

The Blade Series echoes Porsche’s racing DNA.The temples also feature a cut-out element in the colours of the Porsche brake calliper.

A combination of stainless steel and plastic ensures wearer comfort, lightness and stability. The Blade Series includes the P’8944 and P’8945 sunglasses.

Stylish optical frames and lightweight sunglasses are a strong feature of the Porsche Design offer at Cannes

The Ultra Light Series offers frames of around 5g, the lightest and most minimalist frames ever produced by Porsche Design.

Porsche Design also introduces high-quality Reading Tool optical frames which are flat when folded and can fit in any pocket.
