Want to be paid to travel across the country, sit on the beach and explore old-school boutique beach motels? A new contest from Hotels.com is offering to do just that for one lucky winner. 

Focusing on properties with a mix of modern amenities and retro aesthetics from Maine to Washington state, the contest promises to pay $15,000 – a $10,000 travel stipend and $5,000 salary – to visit the company’s “10 best retro beach motels” this summer, according to a statement.

Hotels.com will provide a retro polaroid camera for the winner to document the trip, along with sunscreen, umbrellas, vintage sunglasses, a cooler and a solar-powered AM/FM radio.

A winner will be picked for their creativity and originality, quality of submission and fit to theme, the statement said.

Some of these “timeless” and “budget-friendly” motels – including San Diego’s The Pearl Hotel, The Montauk Beach House in Long Island and Miami’s Vagabond Hotel – will “transport beachgoers – literally and figuratively – back in time to truly disconnect and relax,” Hotels.com spokesperson Melissa Dohmen said in a statement.

The application, which consists of a brief online questionnaire, is due by Aug. 5, and applicants must be at least 21 years old.
